If you would love to learn more about cake decoration, including wedding cakes, novelty cakes & cupcakes I offer private and small group tuition at my studio in Orpington, Kent. I have been cake decorating for over 20 years and have extensive knowledge in sugar craft.

Tuition will be completely tailored to your needs, the most popular requests being:

• How to cover a cake with sugar paste.
• Creating sugar flowers.
• Writing with royal icing.
• Assembling a tiered cake.
• Modelling people and animals in sugar.
• Carving cakes and making novelty designs.
• Decorating cupcakes

If you feel daunted by a cake design that you have agreed to make then private tuition can give you the support and skills to create the perfect design. Why not treat a friend to a cupcake masterclass as a gift or come with a group of friends for an afternoon of cupcake decorating.

Class duration is usually 2 to 3 hours but half day and full day training is also available.

Prices are as follows:

1 to 1 tuition: £25 per hour
1 to 2 tuition: £40 per hour (£20 per person)
1 to 3 tuition: £51 per hour (£17 per person)
Classes of 4 or more: £15 per person per hour

Book a course of 4 classes or more at the same time and receive a 10% discount.

Prices include the use of my equipment and tools (and me doing the washing up!) but exclude the cost of ingredients. A list of ingredients will be e-mailed to you prior to your tuition day.
